Your jewelry is meant to be worn, not stored away. A little care goes a long way toward keeping every piece looking exactly the way it did the day you got it. These are the methods I actually recommend for all Siwar Gallery pieces.

4 Simple Methods to Clean Your Jewelry
Our pieces are crafted from premium metal alloy with protective finishes that make cleaning fast and easy. Always start with the gentlest method, especially if your piece has plating or accent stones.
Method 1: Soap and Warm Water (Daily Care)
This is the safest method for all jewelry, including waterproof rings and gold-plated pieces. It is the one I always start with.
- Supplies: Warm water, mild dish soap (non-bleach), two small bowls, soft cloth.
-
Steps:
- Mix warm water with 2 to 3 drops of mild dish soap in one bowl.
- Soak the jewelry for 5 minutes. Chain necklaces especially benefit from a good soak.
- Gently scrub crevices with a soft-bristled toothbrush.
- Rinse thoroughly in the second bowl of clean, warm water.
- Dry immediately and buff with a soft microfiber cloth.
Method 2: Baking Soda Paste (For Tougher Buildup)
If your piece has stubborn residue, a mild paste works well on the metal surface. Use caution near accent stones.
- Supplies: Baking soda, water, soft brush.
-
Steps:
- Mix about 2 tablespoons of baking soda with 1 teaspoon of water to form a thick paste.
- Apply the paste gently to the metal surface with a brush.
- Rinse the piece thoroughly under clean water.
- Buff dry with a microfiber cloth.
- Note: Skip this method on gold-plated surfaces like the Lira Coin Bangle. The paste can erode the plating over time.

Method 3: Gentle Polish with Toothpaste
A small dab of non-gel, non-whitening toothpaste can gently polish minor scuffs on metal-only pieces. Use it sparingly.
- Dampen a cloth or toothbrush, add a small dab of toothpaste, and polish gently in the direction of the metal grain.
- Rinse and dry immediately.
Method 4: Ultrasonic Cleaner (Metal Only)
An ultrasonic cleaner is great for getting deep grime out of intricate pieces like the Braid Cuff Bangle. Use it carefully.
- Only use on metal-only pieces with no glued settings or soft stones.
- Use short 30-second cycles and follow the device instructions precisely.
Quick Habits That Make a Real Difference
These small routines prevent buildup and keep your pieces looking their best between cleanings.
- Put on Last, Take off First: Always apply lotions, perfumes, and hairspray before putting on your jewelry.
- Store Separately: Keep rings and bracelets in soft pouches or compartmentalized boxes to prevent scratching.
- Wipe After Wearing: A quick wipe with a soft cloth after each wear removes skin oils before they build up.
