Method 1: Soap and Warm Water (Daily Care)
This is the safest method for all jewelry, including waterproof rings and gold-plated pieces. It is the one I always start with.
- Supplies: Warm water, mild dish soap (non-bleach), two small bowls, soft cloth.

- Mix warm water with 2 to 3 drops of mild dish soap in one bowl.
- Soak the jewelry for 5 minutes. Chain necklaces especially benefit from a good soak.
- Gently scrub crevices with a soft-bristled toothbrush.
- Rinse thoroughly in the second bowl of clean, warm water.
- Dry immediately and buff with a soft microfiber cloth.
Method 2: Baking Soda Paste (For Tougher Buildup)
If your piece has stubborn residue, a mild paste works well on the metal surface. Use caution near accent stones.
- Supplies: Baking soda, water, soft brush.

- Mix about 2 tablespoons of baking soda with 1 teaspoon of water to form a thick paste.

- Rinse and dry immediately.
Method 4: Ultrasonic Cleaner (Metal Only)
